On this card is an image of a 24 × 36 inch painting by Tiwi artist Fiona Kerinauia, made with natural earth pigments of iron oxides, clays, charcoal and other materials. It tells the “Tiwi Lunar Story” - a genuine Tiwi creation story about the culture and spirituality of Tiwi people.

Fiona Kerinauia is a Tiwi woman artist closely associated with Bima Wear, the Tiwi Islands’ iconic Indigenous textile and fashion studio, located in Wurrumiyanga on Bathurst Island in the Northern Territory of Australia.

Fiona Kerinauia is a Tiwi woman.
